KANSYS Announces ‘D.A.V.E.’: New Solution delivers Enterprise Reporting and

Business Intelligence in one location for Communication Service Providers.

OLATHE, KS
(August 28, 2007) – Kansys, a full-service technology company for the

communications industry, announced a powerful yet simple industry decision support

solution called D.A.V.E. (Data Access Verification and Evaluation.).

“Visibility into mission critical, B/OSS data continues to be an industry challenge,” said

decisions with the systems they have in place.”

DAVE gives a customer the ability to combine existing system data fields with universal

end user technology components. The announcement demonstrates Kansys’s ongoing

commitment to delivering custom solutions and benefits to the communications industry.

“DAVE was developed based on our experience with multiple B/OSS systems and the

need to address industry Decision Support challenges” said Bill Griffin, Kansys Business

Development/Operations officer. “These challenges range from user data views, to role

based dashboards or the desire to perform ‘what if’ scenarios. Many have tried costly

data warehouse projects to address these issues but they typically fail based on poor

definition and configuration”, said Griffin.

DAVE’s features tackle these industry issues and include an intuitive graphical user

interface, graphic views and data manipulation functionality, universal technology

components, and users can learn to use the system in a few days. The system is an

affordable alternative to reporting and business intelligence options yet provides powerful

and dynamic reporting capabilities and sits outside the production environment.

“The solution is extremely powerful” said Arthur Koenig, Kansys Technical Officer.

“We wanted to provide a framework that would support a wide range of data sources

such as XML, OLE DB and ODBC. Also, by using Visual Studio .NET and the .NET

framework, developers can leverage the capabilities of existing systems to connect to

custom data sources, produce additional output formats and deliver the results in a variety

of methods and formats.”
