Kansys Billing Manager Consolidates BSS/OSS Applications And Data Centers

This client is a CLEC, broadband provider provider in the Northeast.
 
Situation:
Kansys´ client installed a new OSS/BSS system without the necessary personnel to manage the system, manage change control and set the business unit´s expectations. In addition, there was insufficient support staff to provide customized development.
  
Solution:
Kansys provided a billing manager to guide the client through various phases of the OSS/BSS product cycle.
 
Results:

• BSS was successfully migrated, eliminating the need for two data centers, and substantially reducing costs.
• Activation of the new OSS system coincided with the shut down of two home grown OSS Systems.
• Improvement of customer service by consolidating BSS and OSS systems onto single platforms just 6 months after the announcement of the BSS merger and 18 months after the OSS merger.
